A professional image is vital in all types of business, but even more so in the entertainment industry. As a theClubhou.se member, Thelonious Jones runs a streaming service, That’s TV Now, and he says theClubhou.se’s professional setting has been priceless in helping him secure advertisers, partners and programs. “It’s just helped my business grow and gain clients,” he says. “It’s a totally different mindset when you step into a building like this.”
But while that office space is important, no amount of fancy real estate can match the other reason he’s been a longtime member: “In life, everything you do is about self-esteem,” Jones says.

The enthusiasm, innovation and leadership of the people he’s met through his connections at theClubhou.se have been an inspiration: Being a part of something like theClubhou.se has kept him growing and innovating too. “There’s just something about the leadership,” he says. “They’re young and enthusiastic. Being older—I’m 57—and around young people, you learn a lot being in that atmosphere.”
Jones has worked in the water department for the city of Augusta for more than two decades. He has also been a policeman, worked in community relations, and handled paralegal business documentation. Nothing in his resume would lead you to think he’d ever go into TV.
“I caught the idea from a young person I was talking to, who said that he watched internet TV more so than regular TV,” says Jones. “This was totally new to me, and one thing led to another.”
With the support of theClubhou.se, Jones worked on developing That’s TV Now for three years, before launching it a year and a half ago. The streaming service is now available on Roku and soon on Amazon Firestick. What makes the service different is its focus on local people, issues and events, along with feel-good classic shows and movies. “Our slogan is ‘Entertainment Today for a Better Tomorrow,’” he says.

Along with That’s TV Now, Jones’ holding company Enterprise Jones manages multiple other businesses. His goal is to continue to grow his corporation into a multimillion-dollar enterprise and to keep giving back to the local community.
“I’ve been with theClubhou.se since it started,” he adds. “As they grew, I grew along with them. It’s been a great relationship. I wouldn’t be as far as I am without it.”
