About the Speaker:
Paul Newsom, Ph.D., CFA, FRM, is the sole member, owner, and manager of PD Newsom Private Capital LLC. Dr. Newsom has over nine years of private capital investing experience. He is a cofounder of CSR Angels LLC (d/b/a Venturesouth Aiken)—a southeastern United States angel investor group. He is a registered representative and investment advisor representative with Innovation Partners LLC and IP Financial Services LLC, respectively. Dr. Newsom also serves as a professor of finance at the University of South Carolina Aiken, where he holds the Timmerman Chair in Enterprise Development. Additionally, he has published multiple peer-reviewed academic journal articles.
