Jennifer Tinsley is the owner of FIELD Botanicals, an indie skincare and beauty store located in downtown Augusta.
After leaving a government job of 19 years, Tinsley began her adventure of starting her own business. Tinsley joined theClubhou.se to find a networking community of small business owners and entrepreneurs like herself, and to take advantage of the business development programs theClubhou.se offers, similar to the new Make Startups program, which was created to help new entrepreneurs grow their business.
As a long-time vegan, Tinsley realized she struggled to find plant-based skin and beauty care. She spent two years obtaining multiple diplomas and certifications in Organic Skincare Formulation from Formula Botanica. Fulfilling her passion and search for vegan formulas, Tinsley began making her own plant-based skincare products in her own kitchen. In 2018, Tinsley opened her vegan skincare store, FIELD Botanicals, which has flourished since. FIELD offers a variety of vegan, cruelty-free, plant-based products that are created by more than 40 indie brands from all over the nation.
Tinsley explains, "You won't find big box brands, corporate brands, or MLMs at FIELD. We have ingredient standards that require products to be free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petrochemicals, and of course animal products." Tinsley focuses on product education and matching customers with a customized skin care/personal care routine that works for them.
FIELD's products include deodorant-based body care: Smell My Feet botanical foot deodorant and Smell My Bod botanical fragrance mist. Both products are formulated to eliminate odor naturally and support the skin's microbiome.
