theClubhou.se is a non-profit 501(c)3 business and community incubator in Augusta, GA. We opened our doors to the general public on First Friday, December 7, 2012. We subsequently merged with Hack Augusta, inc and were recognized as a non-profit 501(c)3 July 17, 201. In 18 months of operation we have grown to include over 40 members, 25 companies, and $5,000,000 in annual economic impact to the Greater Augusta MSA.
Our Team of Innovators:
Eric Parker, Co-Founder & Innovation Architect, Board of Directors @ep_aia
Eric Parker is one of the leading Innovation Architects in the nation and has worked with many top research institutions, technology incubators, and Fortune 500 companies. Eric’s work has been published in Bloomberg Business Week, and featured in the Stanford d.school publication “Make Space: How to set the stage for creative collaboration”. He has also participated in round table discussions on innovation as part of the White House Champions of Change.
He is president and founder of CONima, co-founder of theClubhouse, co-founder and board Chair of HACK Augusta, co-organizer of TEDxAugusta, and business partner in Sand Hill Endeavors. Eric is an advocate for Greater Augusta Technology companies, and mentor for technology entrepreneurs.
A Georgia Tech graduate, Eric is currently working to network local innovation communities from across the Southeast to develop a more broadly collaborative technology economy and increase Venture Capital deal flow for small and mid-size communities.
Grace Belangia, Co-founder & Executive Director, Board of Directors @GraceBelangia
Grace Belangia is Community Development Strategist for CONima which focuses on community building to support innovation economies. She consults with educational institutions, civic organizations, media companies, government agencies and community non-profits. Grace has been a communications and marketing professor in higher education, and published in more than 20 print and digital magazines around the country.
She is a founding member of the Clubhouse, and lead curator for TEDxAugusta.
A UCLA graduate, Grace is an advocate for the co-working/hacker/maker movement. She is a Pipeline Fellow, and a business partner in Sand Hill Endeavors, which provide mentoring and capital for startups and entrepreneurs.
Chase Lanier, Education Director & Building Manager
Chase Lanier is the Factotum around theClubhou.se. He keeps the doors open daily, tidies up, gives tours, oversees the educational component, and publishes online content. Being passionate about self-directed learning, Chase organizes the Mentoring Program at theClubhou.se. A graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in Painting and Art Education, Chase has taught photography at Jessye Norman School of the Arts and high school art. He is also on the Board of Directors for Imagination Station: A Neighborhood Children’s Museum. His art can be seen around town from time to time, and if you keep an eye out, you may catch him performing on stage.
